Article 1: Purpose
The purpose of these “General Terms and Conditions of Use” is to provide a legal framework for the provision of Student Place services and their use by the “User”.
The general conditions of use must be accepted by any User wishing to access the site. They constitute the contract between the site and the user. Access to the site by the user implies acceptance of these general conditions of use.
Possibly :
- In the event of non-acceptance of the general conditions of use stipulated in the present contract, the User must renounce access to the services offered by the site.
- Student Place reserves the right to unilaterally modify the content of these terms and conditions of use at any time by indicating the date of the update in the header.

ARTICLES 3: Definitions
The purpose of this clause is to define the various essential terms of the contract:
- User: this term refers to any person who uses the site or any of the services offered by the site.
- User content: data transmitted by the user to the site.
- Member: the User becomes a member when he/she is identified on the site.
- Username and password: all the information required to identify a user on the site. The login and password allow the user to access services reserved for site members. The password is confidential.
ARTICLE 4: access to services
The site provides the User with free access to the following services:
- News articles.
- Registration form
- Reading of homes by other users.
- Connect users via secure messaging.
The site is accessible free of charge anywhere to any User with Internet access. All costs incurred by the User in accessing the service (hardware, software, Internet connection, etc.) are at the User’s expense.

Non-member Users have no access to services reserved for members. To do so, you need to log in with your username and password.

Student Place cannot be held responsible for any force majeure event resulting in network or server malfunction.
Access to the site’s services may be interrupted, suspended or modified at any time without notice for maintenance or any other reason.
The User undertakes not to claim any compensation following the interruption, suspension or modification of the present contract.

ARTICLE 5: Intellectual property
Trademarks, logos, signs and any other content on the site are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code, and more specifically by copyright.
The User requests prior authorization from the site for any reproduction, publication or copy of the various contents.
The User undertakes to use the contents of the site in a strictly private context. Use of the contents for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden.
The User is solely responsible for any content posted online. The User undertakes not to post any content that may harm the interests of third parties. Any legal action taken by an injured third party against the site will be borne by the User.
User content may be removed or modified by the site at any time and for any reason. The User does not receive any justification or notification prior to the deletion or modification of User content.
ARTICLE 6: Personal data
The information requested when registering on the site is necessary and compulsory for the creation of the User’s account. In particular, the e-mail address may be used by the site for the administration, management and animation of the service.
The site ensures that the User’s personal information is collected and processed with due respect for privacy, in accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978.

ARTICLE 7: Liability and force majeure
The sources of the information published on the site are deemed reliable. However, the site reserves the right not to guarantee the reliability of sources. The information provided on the site is for information purposes only. The User therefore assumes sole responsibility for the use of the information and content of this site.
The User is responsible for keeping his password secret. Any form of disclosure of the password is prohibited.
The User assumes all risks associated with the use of his/her login and password. The site declines all responsibility.
Any use of the service by the User resulting directly or indirectly in damage must be compensated by the site.
The site does not guarantee optimal security and confidentiality of transmitted data. However, the site undertakes to take all necessary steps to guarantee the security and confidentiality of data. The site cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure or the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party.
ARTICLE 8: Hypertext links
Numerous outgoing hypertext links are present on the site, however the web pages to which these links lead in no way engage the responsibility of who has no control over these links.
The User therefore agrees not to hold the site liable for the content and resources of these outgoing hypertext links.
ARTICLE 9: Evolution of the contract
The site reserves the right to modify the clauses stipulated in the present contract at any time.
ARTICLE 10: Contract duration
The duration of this contract is indefinite. The contract is effective for the User from the moment the service is used.
ARTICLE 11: Applicable law and jurisdiction
French law applies to this contract. In the event of failure to resolve a dispute between the parties amicably, the courts of the Lille Court of Appeal shall have sole jurisdiction.
ARTICLE 12: Publication by the User
The site allows members to post housing ads.
In his publications, the member undertakes to respect the rules of Netiquette and the rules of law in force.
The site moderates publications and reserves the right to refuse to publish them online, without having to justify this to the member.
The member retains all intellectual property rights. However, by publishing a publication on the site, the user transfers to the publishing company the non-exclusive and free right to represent, reproduce, adapt, modify, disseminate and distribute the publication, directly or through an authorized third party, throughout the world, on any medium (digital or physical), for the duration of the intellectual property. In particular, the Member grants the right to use his or her publication on the Internet and cell phone networks.
The publishing company does not undertake to display the member’s name near each use of his publication.
